The word mechatronics was invented by a Japanese engineer in 1969 by combining mechanics and electronics. French translation mécatronique appeared officially in the famous Larousse dictionary in 2005.
NF E 01-010 (2008) standard defines mechatronics as a synergic integration of mechanics, electronics, automatics and software while engineering a product, in order to optimize its size and/or increase its performances.
For us, mechatronics is an inter-disciplinary engineering domain which allows us to design compact and energy saving systems, exclusively powered by electrical energy and driven by built-in electronics intelligence.
Based on that synergy, RB3D designs smart tools and cobots thanks to our engineering team accomplishments.
